All of us at RVFM are pleased to serve our patients in a caring and safe environment. Accordingly, we have instituted new procedures to be sure everyone is safe while in our office:
Each day of the week, there will be a designated provider seeing sick patients all day, not just in the afternoon as we were doing previously.
For example, Jackie will see sick patients on Monday, Jamie is Tuesday, etc. This is designed to keep providers from going in and out of sick patient rooms in order to limit exposure. Our aim is that providers in sick clinic will not see any healthy patients after seeing sick patients on a day when they are assigned to sick clinic.
If you would rather see a provider via telemedicine, we are happy to accommodate! You may schedule a Telehealth visit to discuss medical concerns (unless you have an urgent medical concern, then we’d like to see you in person.). We encourage all patients who are high risk, including above the age of 65, to take advantage of Telehealth.
Walk-in PCR Testing & Antibody Testing
We are now offering PCR and antibody COVID testing on Thursdays for asymptomatic patients on a walk-in basis. Patients must not be having any upper respiratory/cold or flu like symptoms and must have been seen within 1 year to qualify for this walk-in testing.
Patients coming into the office for PCR (swab) COVID testing must enter through the acute care clinic in the rear of the building even if they are not having any symptoms. Patients coming in for antibody testing may enter through the main entrance. Wait times for testing may vary depending on the day.
Hours for Thursday walk-in COVID testing are 9:00 am – 12:00 pm and 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm and will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.
